Hello!!
Since its children’s day around here, I decided to post this trip to Apapa amusement park that I took about two months ago.
talk about long overdue posts? this is one.
By the way happy children’s day darlings😘
In case you’re thinking of what to do this period, the apapa amusement park might be a good idea.
I went with a young family friend to check out the place, I’m always excited about trips to parks and generally doing anything that seems remotely fun.
I went on a weekday, so there weren’t a lot of people there, and the workers were slacking because of that, I think.. None of them were in the places they were meant to be so we had to keep looking for the people in charge of each ride.. Sigh
There’s no gate fee, so entering into the park is free , most of the rides cost about 500 each
The more exciting rides which were about 2 or 3 of them cost 1200 as at the time I visited .
I bought a card that cost 1000 filled it with 3000 naira airtime and we were on our merry way.
They also have a games room and a restaurant.
The aesthetic makes it a great place for pictures, i like the walls, the attractive multi coloured painting, kids would love it here… The child i took did and she has asking when next we are going.. Lol! How about never?
if you’re a blogger looking for a location, its a great place for pictures, I’m not sure if I’d be going back for anything more besides shooting for the blog.
Have you been to the apapa amusement parks or any other parks in Lagos or Nigeria? Do tell.
I hear there are a number of them.
Happy children’s day again.
Let me know what you think and if there’s some other information I left out, you can ask, I’d answer as best as I can.
Also please like my Facebook page,it’s somewhere on the right hand corner of this page, and follow me on Instagram too 😘😘😘 .

The back ground building looks an ugly sight though. The Apapa amusement Park management should consider offering to paint those walls in order to enhance the view from their own end. It’s so ugly really!!

Lol! I thought so too, but it costs a lot to paint a building, looking at the positive side at least there’s an amusement park.
Hopefully the management somehow finds your comment and works on their aesthetic.

They have renovated the park, I hope they upgraded the rides too? I use to be a frequent visitor to the park between 2009 and 2010. It was rather ancient looking back then but most of the rides were operational though they were few and far between. Back then a ride costs between N100 and N250 so all the locals etc were popular visitors to the park. I guess the renovation is a welcomed development, I hear there’s an even bigger park on the Lagos/Ibadan express road. Quite costly to enjoy sha and the rides I saw in the pictures didn’t seem worth the amount. We still have a long way to go in this area of entertainment and relaxation for children 🚸 in Nigeria.

I agree with you, We definitely have a long way to go as regards children entertainment in Nigeria. I hope whoever is responsible for this sort of thing does something about it, even television doesn’t really have made in Nigeria entertainment for children. Thank you for your comment.

Yes the management can try increasing the height of the fence,I think that would solve.it.
