Weekend Round up

I’m going to begin this post with something not totally related.
Why are Nigerians so afraid of pictures? I don’t get shocked when I’m accosted for taking pictures in public places nowadays, I just get really irritated.
I totally understand the plight of the Nigerian woman who thinks you want to use her for ritual purposes because this world is wicked..lol ,what I don’t understand why I can’t pass by a hotel and take a picture of the building, I had the most annoying experience lately.

I’ve also noticed something about Nigerian men, and the tendency to call every woman that stands up to them ashewo! I hope this is only common to illiterate yaba boys and illiterate armed security at raddison blue …if this continues I might have to start calling every man that annoys me an armed robber.

Anyway, back to my weekend, I was at LA taverna with a few friends
I like the ambience,
I totally hate the boarding school like table cloth, and that the staff seem a bit incompetent, they were telling us they couldn’t make the pizza until their boss arrives, because he is the only one that knows how to take the pizza out of the oven. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ foolishness personified

We had a good enough time, and we were practically the only people there so it was really comfortable, I assume there’d be more people there on Wednesdays and Sundays… There are discounts on those days.

The Lagos Street Pizza
Definitely not the best pizza I’ve tried.

  1. Hi Tonye,

    @ “foolishness personified” XD

Ah! Lagosians are naturally suspicious. Thank God for Google maps because asking people for simple directions on the street, will only yield blank stares and no answer.

Nice photographs. That young man cracked me up.

I do quite a bit of resting and run errands at the weekend. Me too! I also spend Sunday evening hoping that Monday will be declared the third day of the weekend. Lol

    Have a great weekend.

    1. Lol! Hi! Nedoux ,I’m even scared of asking people for directions, before they know I don’t know where I’m going to and kidnap me.. πŸ˜‚. He cracked me up too! I’m sure he already had some.
I dream of loving Mondays, but that hasn’t happened yet πŸ˜₯

  3. Oh they need to change that table clothes. If I begin to actually comment on this, I will just write another blog post. This is a typical example of where I lower, Lower my expectations from incompetent staff to all those boys and drivers, I have learn to be mute biko. I want to put that energy into something else.lol

    1. I know right, but it’s hard to lower your expectations when you are paying for a service… I wish I could rate the service, and pay what ever they deserve which would be nothing most times! Lol!
Thank you for dropping by and have a lovely weekend.

    1. Photography in Lagos can be such a chore.. So annoying.
Maybe their stuff is bomb, but I’m the least adventurous person when it comes to things that go in my mouth so don’t trust that unpopular opinion.
Lol! It was pineapple actually, it was OK but I was expecting so much more from pizza called Lagos street… I don’t know why.

  5. Nope it’s everywhere among touts and stupid men, if you as much as ignore them the next thing is to insult you. No oh please don’t call em armed robber oh let them not beat you on the road. They have no shame.
They should close and only open when the boss is around, those ones are not ready to learn. The table cloth definitely needs to be changed.
    Nice pictures.
