…Are you who you want to be?.
“For what it’s worth … it’s never too late, or in any case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of,and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.” -Eric Roth
the curious case of Benjamin button.
I’m writing this because I was talking to a friend of mine recently about having the courage to start over, but it’s a fast paced world and nobody really has the patience to sit and listen except it’s written on twitter or some other interesting social network. It’s not surprising seeing as some of us have more internet friends than real life friends and how people can assume that they know you very well because they follow you on twitter and /or stalk your timeline. On having the courage to start over…
I think that society has made us believe that quitting is the worst decision we can make in our life, and maybe it is (it definitely is).
Starting over on the other hand is a different ball game, quitting is cowardly, having the ability, the strenght, the courage to start over is bravery.
The quote is saying that if you’re not living the life you want to live, if you’re not living a life you’re satisfied with, you should find the courage to.The word courage is written in this quote because the writer understands that starting over isn’t one of the easiest things in the world.
